What this is
Sakura Heart is a free, ad-free reading garden of articles about the things grown-ups don't always remember to teach: how to like yourself, how to make and keep friends, how to handle pressure without losing who you are, how to set boundaries kindly, and how to talk to yourself like someone you'd actually want to be friends with.
Who it's for
Mainly kids and young teens, ages 10–16. Also welcoming: parents who want a calm starting point to read together with their kid, teachers and school counselors who want short, practical pieces to share, and grown-ups who never quite got these lessons themselves.
How to use it
- Read in any order. Pick whichever title feels closest to what's on your mind.
- Try at least one of the "Try This" exercises in each article. The reading is nice; the practicing is what changes things.
- Share an article with a friend and talk about it. Hard topics get smaller when said out loud with someone safe.
What this is not
This site is not a substitute for talking to a trusted adult, a school counselor, a doctor, or a therapist. If something is heavy — if you feel unsafe, very sad for a long time, or thinking about hurting yourself — please reach out to one of the lines on our Help page. You are worth the call.
The design
Sakura Heart is built in a soft, kawaii Japanese style on purpose: gentle colors, friendly fonts, lots of breathing room. Hard topics deserve to be wrapped in something kind. The cherry blossom (sakura) symbolizes that even brief, fragile things can be beautiful and brave. So can you.
Privacy
